We are looking for a talented, and experienced baker to join our expanding team. The candidate will have at least 2 years experience of working in a bakery. We are a small, tight-knit team from all walks of life and ages who enjoy good humour and getting the job done! We take great pride in our work. We strive to be among one of the best bakeries in Glasgow working with the best ingredients and work with some of the city's most loved establishments.
The job is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, split between 5 x 8 hour shifts, between Monday to Sunday.
Early shifts and some weekend work are part of the job.
The baker’s 5 shifts will run between the bakery’s operational hours:
Monday 4:00 - 13:00
Tuesday 4.00 - 13.00
Wednesday 4.00 - 13.00
Thursday 4.00 - 13.00
Friday 4.00 - 13.00
Saturday 4.00 - 13.00
Sunday 4.00 - 12.00
ROLE / KEY TASKS:
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:
The applicant will have at least 2 years of experience as a baker working with slow-fermented doughs. Experience of viennoiserie would be desirable. The applicant will have pride in their work even at times when there is pressure to get high number of products out of the oven. The candidate will work with others in the team closely and it is important that they can get on well with others. Keeping good time is essential as is attention to detail.
